| Patient can walk on the same day |
TKR is a supramajor surgery which involves significant amount of stress response.Patient experiences significant amount of fatigue on day one. Forcing the patient to stand and walk on the same day adds to the fatigue. Adequate rest and pain relief builds confidence in the patient and motivates him to do physiotherapy. At Pinnacle patients mindset and pain control is given the outmost importance.
Here usually we make the patient walk on the second post operative day.

| Surgery is minimally invasive |
TKR is not a microscopic or a LASER or keyhole surgery. It involves proper incision and closure using suture material or skin staplers. Depending upon the choice of the surgeon and the need of the patient sutures can be embedded underneath the skin known as sub-cuticular stitches. These stitches are not seen externally.

| Surgery is painless |
TKR involves the removal of the damaged surfaces of the knee. It is as good as creating fractures surgically and then positioning the implants. Hence it definitely painful but the pain can definitely be well controlled using specialized nerve blocks. Hence the role of Pain Specialist is extremely important. |
| Patient can be discharged on the third day |
This is a western concept since hospitalization is insurance driven. Secondly the paramedical services are so well developed that physiotherapy and pain management is taken care at home. In indians not very well developed so its advisable that the patient goes home on the 5th day or earliest 4th day.At Pinnacle discharges are not forced upon the patient. |
| Robotic Surgery is painless ,stichless and superior to conventional Computer Navigated TKR Knee Replacement Surgery |
Robotic Surgery is not performed by any Robot but is performed by the surgeon himself Like the conventional surgery Robotic surgery is also painful and involves blood loss, secondly there is not enough data available to say that robotics, as added to advantage, navigated TKR but cost is exponentially higher.
